So Tell me what you want

Suzanne and Derek got married on a sunny fall day in Winder, GA. They opted for a sentimental and family focused event at an old family home of the bride. The couple was just the next in a long line of couples to be married in the family cemetery. Derek, a musician and Suzanne, an artist brought together their eclectic group of friends and family for an afternoon ceremony followed by dinner and dancing under a tent. The bride expressed her desire to maintain a sustainable and DIY approach to her wedding. Her vintage disco glitter sweater was purchased secondhand and she spend months planting and caring for each and every centerpiece houseplant, which were given to guests as take away favors. She hand dyed all of the linens and tablescapes featured citrus cut that day on the property. Every detail was personal and created. The couple was primarily interested in documentary wedding photography coverage. Both of them felt pretty uncomfortable in front of the camera, and preferred the focus be on their guests and the story of their day. Friends and family also contributed to the dessert table with a homemade wedding cake featuring a polaroid topper taken of the couple earlier in the day before they'd seen each other. Cocktail hour featured a s'mores bonfire for both children and adults and Derek's bandmates from Black Tusk held court on the dance floor with some fancy footwork as everyone partied the night away. I was so happy to offer Derek and Suzanne Georgia documentary wedding photography.
